Interesting list and I agree with some of the choices but not all. There are some that I'm sort of surprised got left off.

My personal list would have to include:

- The Harry Dresden books, Jim Butcher (This is one of the few UF series that keeps getting better!)
- War for the Oaks, Emma Bull
- The first 9 or 10 of the Anita Blake novels (before the ardeur kicked in and plot bowed out), Laurell K. Hamilton
- Dark Lover, Lover Eternal, Lover Awakened, J.R. Ward
- Sunshine, Robin McKinley
- Almost anything by Charles deLint.

I love these choices. GOOD OMENS is nearing the top of my to be read pile. Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld women are awesome and the way she connects the books is very well done. She pulls off a heroine who's a ghost. Very talented.

I was especially glad to see Lia Block's WEEZIE BAT. Usually classified as young adult fiction, the truth is - a good book is a good book, no matter who the initial intended audience is.

Thanks for sharings these!

Warmly

I have to suggest Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey series. Fun stuff in an urban paranormal world with some yummy dragons.

I've been seeing a lot of Maureen Child's name floating around there today. She was just recommended to me.

My TT was about books on my TBR pile so I can see it's just getting bigger.

Weetzie Bat! That is one series that does NOT get enough attention. Good picks, all around.

Am I going to parrot myself? Yes, I am.

Wicked Gentlemen by Ginn Hale.

(Man, I tried getting into that Weetzie Bat collection but just couldn't.)

After polling the editors for their favorites, we ended up with far more than 13. So the list did get trimmed down. Clearly, we love urban fantasy and have looong lists of favorite books and series.

Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series: Moon Called, Blood Bound, and Iron Kissed, is FABULOUS.

Do you differentiate between Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance?
