House of Books

This is what I want--a house custom-built to my specs, everything I want including built-in bookshelves everywhere--walls, staircases, even ceilings.

One of the previous posts about great repositories of books got me thinking about libraries repurposed into living quarters. I surfed the net and found several that gave me ideas. So now, one of the main characters in my upcoming MERCY AND REDEMPTION lives in a restored 1890s library. Thanks, Raelene, for the inspiration!

Cris, I love to envision older buildings remodeled to be homes! I look at restaurants, churches, offices and think "Hmm, that area would be great for the bedrooms, you could put the kitchen here, that ladies' room could be converted to a huge and luxurious master bath...
